When you don’t need a completely new build, but want to improve on the property you currently own (or are about to purchase), we can help with a renovation, extension or addition.
Scenarios we often see include modernising or upgrading an older home or villa, enlarging the overall size of a home, or rearranging the layout of the property.
When done by an experienced and trained architect, this can often be a more cost-effective approach than building new or having a builder plan an addition.
We’ll discuss with you what is currently working and not working about the space you have, how your lifestyle needs might change over the coming years, and how we can make the most of the outdoor area, sunlight and other natural features of your property.
We’ve worked on numerous renovations, extensions and additions over the years so can usually tell you in our first meeting what will require council approval and/or resource consent. It’s a great idea to talk to an architect early on, whether you think you need one or not, as we can let know of any limitations or restrictions that will impact your building process.
