We have engaged Noor to design us a forever home where we would transition into retirement and hopefully live for many years to come. Our section is close to the sand dunes and the wild Coastlands beach and we wanted to "bring the outdoors in" and feel like we are living in a holiday home. We wanted an energy efficient home and use the materials that will stand the test of time in the harsh environment and have minimal maintenance costs. We also wanted to have a lovely entertainment space to host our friends and family.
Noor and the team at Nala were such a pleasure to work with. Right from the get go they were clear, concise and communicated each step of the process with full transparency. We felt at ease working with a team who were well experienced in all aspects of design and execution especially with Auckland council and in managing through the heritage building process. Noor was engaged to designed a new extension and renovate the remaining parts of our dated bungalow. We found Noors’ designs were clean, logical and resulted in a layout that had a natural flow while keeping within the character of the house.
I have no experience in this field and to have Noor oversee all of this process and to assist me when required made it easy. Even once the works had started, if I or the builder was unsure, she was there to help; I had a change of plans before the build, and this didn’t phase her to reapply to split the consent.

So when we had our first zoom with Noor it was like a breath of fresh air. Someone who listened to what we wanted and had a plan in place which suited us exactly. In fact, she had put so much thought behind everything that we didn't have much to modify from her first draft.
